I've searched through the forums until my brain hurts and still haven't really found an answer to my question. I'm really hoping that someone can give me a "beyond a doubt because I've tried it" answer.

My family has to travel for a sport. We're in a motel one weekend every month and for just over a week every July. Motel TV and taking movies just doesn't really cut it. We take our PS4 with us anyway so I was thinking about downloading the VJ to it. Does the PS4 have to be connected to my home network or can the VJ function like Dish Anywhere? I called customer support and they tell me I can take my PS4 anywhere and it'll work but I've talked to installers that tell me it HAS to be on the same network the Hopper w/Sling is on. Has anyone tried taking their VJ device anywhere and does it work?

Thanks so much in advance!

Maybe they were thinking something like SlingTV. Would still be stupid on their part, but maybe that will explain some....
