Volume control between channels

Has anyone had any sucess in managing the volume between Voom channels. As I watch one show and set the volume to an enjoyable setting, when I scan channels the intra-channel volume can be quite broad and annoying. Is there a setting that I am not aware of? Any guidance is appreciated.

Nope...

On HDnews when they switch to show Auction HD higlights or gallery HD hilights the volume seem to go up very high but the volume of HDnews is very low.
