Well he talked about it a little. Lack of new programming, consolidating channels and the fact they were going through the courts. He doesn't seem optimistic but just maybe someday.. who knows?

As much as I liked Voom, Charlie was just saying what most of us have been saying for months. Too many repeats!!!!

Can we finally end all of the Voom withdrawal stories with Charlie's last announcement. This is really tiring

I was good to hear Charlie tell you from his own lips what I have been saying here as a rumor for the past few weeks. :)

Once again I was on the money.

Voomers are their own worst enemy. I enjoyed Voom. Then there was nothing on Voom -for MONTHS- that I wanted to see that I had not already seen. Now I see thread after thread hijacked by Voomers, just spreading dislike for Voom. They don't intend it that way, but I submit, too many of us have seen too much whining to ever have any sympathy for Voom again. We're sick of hearing the same ole stuff over and over again. I liked Voom for what it was- not for what some fantasize it to be. Gone. Dead. Let it go.

I think you are taking this a little too seriously, Its just people talking about something they dont like which is why we have forums, no one here is making anyone read what we are saying. If there is something on the forums I do not care about I will not read the posts.

Too many unrelated threads are being hijacked by whining over Voom. Easy to avoid the clearly labeled threads.

Charlie's comments were both interesting and informative: "We offered VOOM some alternatives, they turned us down, the Judge sided with us, and we and VOOM are not talking." But also, something like this, "We want VOOM to succeed since we own 20% of it, maybe they'll come back to the table."

What we now need to hear is this: "the war with Fox is over." The problem with that is that Dish can't stop fighting Fox while Fox is attacking. (Kinda like saying to Osama "quit killing us" and Osama laughs and says "I will kill all you infidels, and then I will kill your children and your grandparents and all your ancestors and all your descendants forever and eradicate you from the earth. Ha Ha Ha.....") Some fights cannot be over until one of the parties is dead; long live Charlie. Ha ha ha ha ha...

I cancelled Voom 1 week before Charlie removed Voom from Dish. I am sorry if my 10 dollars made Charlie remove Voom. End of story. Voom is gone.:)

At least we now all know one thing. The Voom channels (or at least some of them) were in fact popular. If they were not, Charlie would not have addressed it at all.

All of our complaints did give him something to think about.

I think Charlie needs a bit more brain cells as was pointed out in another posting the actual HD is more like 40 as many channels are repeated and his math calls that 80 HD? Voom was the best thing in HD, and they added a number of new shows right before Charlie pulled them off the air and started to continue to try to tell us they have 80 HD and are the leader in HD; when in reality Directv has 95 now and it costs less. I see no logic to continue to pay hard earned dollars for someone trying to scam me and also whom removed the best 15 HD channels and replaced them with the up converted crap including the weather channel and cartoons in HD. He must think we are all idiots; to me he is the idiot.

You know what, give us another 15 or so HD channels to replace the Voom channels and I think this whole issue will go away on its own!

The problem was that they put the Voom and the new HD channels up on the same day so you know they got the capacity for another 15 more!

When did Charlie start telling the truth? What did you expect him to say? Is he then going to remove Bravo/WFN/Hallmark because they show 5% hd? Or TNT/TBS because they stretch everything to the point that it makes you think your on drugs. It was a $ decision and Charlie didn't like the contract. This is the same guy that claims 80+ total hd channels. To say that he stretches the truth is an understatement! He must really think very little of us to make such claims. To think my hard earned $ is going to such a guy makes me sick.
