So are the 3 additional channels up on Rainbow 2 now?

I am sure we will see a lot of folks complaigning they are not getting Fine Living, DIY and GAC when its not actualy available yet.

Most significant is that now we know Rainbow 2 is for real and not (vaporware) since they are going to uplink channels there. This means that the bigger dish should be arriving soon since customers would like to have those channels as well.

scott:

Any word on when existing customers will be upgraded to the ellipitcal dish.

I'll gladly go to the new dish if it will help rain fade. Had a bunch of rain come through yesterday, and kept getting dropouts. Anyone know if the new dish will help this?

Nope and because of this press release I have a feeling we will be getting this question a lot.

That is pretty funny. Put 2 channels on a satellite no one is receiving yet...

Okay, now I'm confused - and perhaps a bit of a tard. But could someone please dumb this down for me? Will we get DIY or not?

Maybe VOOM will begin transmitting the DIY channel the same day they allow DIY VOOM Installations.

It may be a channel you may not watch, but for many of us it GREATLY imrpoves the Wife Acceptance Factor. :D

VOOM needs more subscribers.
Any additional channels that can bring in new subscribers is great. I will never watch these new channels but I'm happy to have them as it is important to others.
I've heard several times that people would consider switching to Voom but they don't have SCIFI, or they don't have HGTV, or they don't have Fox Sports, no DVR, etc..

SCIFI and HGTV are here. Now its time for Regional Sports, specifically Fox Sports Detroit! I hate paying Dish $50 per month but I gotta have my Pistons.
