[VOOM] Any suggestions?

I've picked up a few more OTA's since they upgraded my antenna.
However, they seem to come and go, weather or no weather. Last night
one of the channels we've been getting came in on one TV but not the
other (No Signal - Please try again later) even though the signal
strength was 95-96, and 24 miles from the station.

Does anyone know of a better antenna on the market that will pick up
the stations that are "on the fence". I'd be willing to buy my own
if I thought it would work a little better. Or, does this sound like
this is the best I can do? Thanks, Ron

You need to describe your location and the surrounding terrain a bit. Mountains, hills, large buildings, tall buildings, etc. Also weather is key as you mentioned. Leaves?

This is correct . There is also the problem that even though you have=20=20
signal strength, the station may not be sending a video signal. Alot of =
=20
these places are still in infancy transmitting digital and HD.

You can always go with a UHF yagi. There are several on the market at=20
varying prices. A rotator may help if the stations are in different=20
locations.

I don't have any problem with stations up to 50 miles away, and pretty=20
reliable reception up to 70 miles, depending on the station's power.=20
Two weeks ago I picked up two digital stations from 265 miles away, but=20
that is unusual.

http://www.starkelectronic.com has a CM antenna for $45 that should=20
work pretty well. High quality versions from B-T can go up to $200. A=20
UHF preamp mounted on the antenna can also help.

Finco VHF broadband with preamp,
CM Rotator with remote.

The Yagi would be fine if multipath is a problem, but you will do slightly better with a 8 bay bow-tie in flatter terrain with no multipath issues. Best to try both if at all possible. Either way a rotor and a mast pre-amp is a good idea.
