Voom box decoding cable TV & show in channel guide?

That's right, the STB has 4 audio outputs, including 1 digital coax and 1 optical Toslink. They can be configured either for Dolby Digital 5.1 or for PCM.
The on-screen Program Guide integrates Satellite channels and OTA, but not cable, if that's what you are asking.

Then I need to check my box, my installer Thomas, told me there was NO optical out- which was the cable i had. He told me he'd have to use RCA cables. I will check. I trust you guys.

As a night owl there are a lot of channels, that because of the EST times only offer "paid programming" late at night. Not what I want to pay for.

Those channels are local time on my cable offering. *D*'s high def boxes decode/encode all these, add them to the guide and you don't have to use a secondary cable box to watch them.

And.. hey Voom! GET A GUIDE!!!
