Anyone hear this????? Found this on a forum.

There is a rumor that Apple might be looking into VOOMs old bandwidth. They
are looking to get into satellite HD broadcast and rumored to even be buying
their own satellites.

Apple & VOOM would have made an interesting combo.

Maybe they would make the receivers computerlike and upgradable allowing users to use it as a computer or television service. That is the future of internet/television, a merge.

watch what Lucas( StarWars) dose with his new 2d-3d stereoscopic digital HD conversion technology. a demo of it at ShoWest by all accounts was amazing. there will be a demo of it at the big NAB in LV next week. several large electronics companys are very close to 3d stereoscopic digital HD for the home theater by 2007-2008

The channel slots and bandwidths are dish's when the deal is done, and won't be available to Apple

Voom to revert back the way they first started that is offering the channels free and in the clear again. This maybe possible if they plan on marketing the voom 21 exclusives, they'd need to use transponder space somewhere that would be an awesome thing to do get rid of voom but leave the 21 exclusives in the clear while they market it to cable co's.

[VOOM] Re: New rumor

That would be awesome, being a Mac user I know Job's & the boys @ Apple would do some
magic with HD. Apple just gets things right the first time.
Just my 2¢
