[VOOM] Ocasional Black Outs

I am experiencing complete black outs lasting about a second on a
pretty consistent basis (every 10 min or so) on the hd channels. I
have a DVI connection to a GWIII. This started happening relatively
recently. Anyone else experience it?

I've noticed this too, although not as frequently as every ten minutes. Last night during Borne Identity (I think on EncoreHD) it happenned 2 or 3 times and I've noticed it other times as well. I use component to a Sony 57ws500.

Yeah I've been experiencing the same thing more and more frequently over the last two weeks. VOOM is sending out tech to switch out STB. I had it on DVI and Component inputs. Sometimes so bad we couldn't watch the show.

Don't get your hopes up on getting your problem solved with an STB
switch, this is VOOM's approach to any problem they don't know how to
deal with. I have gotten better problem solving advice through posts
here than by calling customer service or "tech" visits. I'll report
back if I find anything out on this, there are some pretty sharp
people lurking at satelliteguys.us...

Same deal. Happens occasionally but was pretty irritating yesterday. Haven't noticed much trouble today though. It's pretty obviously not an end user issue. Maybe the Russians are unhappy that we are getting so much HD content and are testing a new ASAT system? :)

Voom is getting ready to add Sci-Fi channel. It seems to me when they get ready to add a channel these "black screens" start happening.

Yes, I have been having this problem for a while. Even more annoying is occasional sound hiccups. Makes it unwatchable at times. I wish they'd resolve this issue. Sony KP65WS510 RPTV with DVI.
