In light of the news release by direct tv that they
will have a 500 channel HD service in place by the end
of next year and that they plan to have 1500 channels
by the end of 2007 where does voom have a place in
that playing field. Direct plans to phase out their sd
system and have HD only with converter boxes for those
who dont want to use the HD service.
Its just a matter of time. Deep pockets always win and
Voom will sell their customers to one of the DBS providers.
