Yesterday I took some current readings on my computer equipment
and the Voom Receiver.
Here is what I came up with:
Voom receiver draws .38 amps plugged in with picture output
on or off.
..38A x 24hrs = 1.067KWH x 30 days = 32KWH @ 7 cents per
KWH = $2.24 per month.
Cost to have it plugged in at 7 cents per KWH for one year
is about $27.00.

Us retired folks have way too much time on our hands.

Bill

But at $27 a year maybe I'll quit my job and just stay home. Whoops, I
forgot about the $70/month I pay now with three $5 leased receivers, basic
VOOM, and sales tax. $70/month for TV? What am I thinking?
