[VOOM] wilt or dragonlady: can I suspend service

When I was with D*, they let me suspend service for a few months when I
left town. (Just no programming and no charge for a few months.) Can I do
this with V*? I tried calling but got tired of holding on the phone. I don't
want to hold another 30 minutes just to be told no.

I stood in the service line at Best Buy for 1hr 15 minutes only to walk up
to the counter and them tell me I had to call the service center directly.
1hr 15min for a 5 second answer. Life bites sometimes!

The answer depends on whether you are Monthy Equipment or Own.

If you own your equipment, yes you certainly can do a 'Seasonal'
disconnect. The Monthly equip. we don't do this for.

We're adding new agents in hopes of helping the wait time. Sorry
about that.

Why not allow the monthly to suspend service but still have to pay the rental on the equipment. That I think would be understandable.

yes it would be nice if I can just pay the rental. I need to switch back to D* while I wait for V* to 1) get food network and hgtv; 2) improve the horrible stb; and 3) get on with wm9 or whatever to improve their pq.

I don't want to cancel them outright b/c who knows how much it will cost to get back in?
