Wally and VIP211K on same LNB

I just added Dish and got a single Wally to use along with a VIP211K that I got from a friend. I talked to Dish rep, they said no problem as I wanted the Wally in the den and the 211K in the bedroom, and going to move the 211K to the RV when we travel (have a KHV L2 dome antenna).

The tech installed a new dish and the Wally and they work fine, but he got an error on the 211K and then he said that the Wally required a hybrid LNB and the 211K wouldn't work with the hybrid LNB.

I can always install another dish/LNB, but will the Wally work with an older LNB? And if it won't, I'm assuming that it won't work with the older LNB in the KVH antenna.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The Wally needs the hybrid, the 211 can't be mixed with the hybrid with a Wally on it. So, you can add another dish/LNB for the 211 and all will work fine. It's just like adding a 211 to a Hopper 3 setup, you have to have a separate dish for the 211...

No the Wally is not compatible with the Hybrid at all.
Wally and 211s are Pro Plus technology.
