I have 2 external hard drives on my hopper 2. Will all those recordings still be there if I upgrade to a hopper 3? Is there any way to transfer my timers from hopper 2 to hopper 3? Thanks

And yes, the H3 will read EHDs recorded from the HWS. You might need to give it a day or two.

The external hard drives connected to a Hopper receiver are tied to your account and will work on your Hopper3. The exception would be a Hard drive connected to a non-DVR recorder since it is formatted differently.

your timers are backed up to your remote weekly.
Even with this remote ?

While it does automatically back-up Timers and Preferences, it is a good idea to perform the update manually by going to the menus and finding the feature to manually update using the remote just before you switch out your Hoppers.
