I keep coming across the same question from multiple posters that really do seem add to clutter when perusing several threads. So, to answer all those same posts:
There are a ton of these "Now with the TiVo settlement, can we get . . . " Let's be clear, ASFAIK, the ONLY patents regarding the TiVo vs. Echostar/Dish had to do with "Time Warp" technology: watching a previous recordings while recording live shows simultaneously.
This has nothing to do with Manual Timers or all sorts of other unrelated features that a lot of think have not been fixed or implemented because of the TiVo Vs. Echostar/Dish lawsuit that has recently been settled. BTW, the Federal Circuit will not approve the settlement, but once they remand the case back to Texas, Judge Folsom can approve settlement.
If anyone else has other information to suggest that OTHER patents were eventually part of this suit at its conclusion (not the old stuff later dismissed along the way), please feel free to add your clarification.
