I've heard of the Wayback Machine. But I had never tried it. I read they have over 800 billion web pages saved from the past.

Not to steal the thunder from Joseph Holloway (1998) but you can, for example, check this link and see what the satellite arc was like back in 2010 around when I got my first dish installed. All of the links within that page still work too just as though you were in the year 2010. Pretty fascinating. You can go back further if you wish too.

There was a guy here who used to obsess about what was on satellite in 1998. He would cruise those old archives and post about them. I really don't understand the fascination.

Exactly! I have used it to clarify some of my notes I have made on my FTA doings. For example, mentioned a new channel, and didn't mention what satellite it was on, of course, I knew at the time, but not later on!

Also interesting to check the old satellites and see all the great channels we use to get (G10R at 123W, for example).
