Welcome back! Yes, all your posts are still here. :)

Hello everyone, I remember lurking around here in the late 2000's and was very happy to find it again. My family were D subscribers back in 96 all the way to 06 with a few years of Echodish thrown in. Right now I am in streaming land but always interested in sat tech

Hello y'all, it's good to be here!
I'm from the Piedmont region of North Carolina, between Charlotte and the Triad. I like fashion, old telephone equipment, going to yard sales, flea markets, and thrift stores, watch TV (OTA or streaming), listen to music (classic rock, hardcore, alternative, indie, whatever floats my boat), watch some sports, travel within NC, play video games, and take photographs with my early 2000s digital cameras!

I do have history with both Dish and DirecTV; almost all of my family members either had Dish Network or DirecTV for a long time. I pretty much grew up having DirecTV from 2006 to 2008, Dish Network from 2008 to about 2015, and DirecTV for the final time from 2015 to 2016. Then we moved on to streaming beyond that point.
These days, I have been watching OTA television on and off; here's to hoping ATSC 1.0 sticks around for another while.
I've got 2 TiVos, one a DirecTV HR10-250 from 2004/05 (a Series 2 TiVo) and a TiVo Series 3 HD DVR from 2008 - the latter one is in continuous operation, still running like a champ 18 years later! My recent acquisition was the basic DTVpal converter box, it's got a variation of the mid 2000s Dish Network UI and pulls in enough signal from my local stations. However, it's not as good as the DTVpal Plus box which I heard came with an enhanced tuner; I would like to get one someday if I had the chance.

I'm a fan of both the Carolina Panthers and the Detroit Lions in the NFL; the Atlanta Braves and the Detroit Tigers in the MLB; the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA; and last but not least, the Stanley Cup Champions of the NHL.... the Carolina Hurricanes!

I'll still be a lurker of the forum, but I might participate in one of the threads one day.
Till then, take care!
