The greatest left fielders in Boston Red Sox history are Heinie Manush, Ted Williams, Carl Yazstremski and Jim Rice. For Manny Ramirez to be even remotely compared to them is an embarassment to the game.

I agree that he is a great player, it's his attitude and disrespect for the game that I don't like. He reminds me of Juan Pablo Montoya when he first came to Indianapolis. He had no respect for the Speedway or it's history. But he did produce and that's what counts. As he has gotten older he realizes what he accomplished back in 2000. As for Manny, I would love to have seen him do his home run thing at home plate after he hit one off of Bob Gibson or Don Drysdale. Those two would have gave him an attitude adjustment real quick.
Anyway, I just don't like the guy.
What about Ty Cobb and his attitude?
The Indians should have kept him![]()
The biggest racist, male chauvanist, nastiest man ever to play the game....and those were his good points.
Rogers Hornsby was right up there too.
Boo Hoo. Manny is one of the best in the game. Get over it.The greatest left fielders in Boston Red Sox history are Heinie Manush, Ted Williams, Carl Yazstremski and Jim Rice. For Manny Ramirez to be even remotely compared to them is an embarassment to the game.
