Which cables to hook up

Just got my 921 after having an 811 for a year. I dont have DVI on my TV. My question is.. other than the component cable should I hook up the s-video cable as well? I have all my components running through a Denon 3805. In other words would I be wasting my time to do this?
Next question...Does the S/D-H/D button on the remote benefit me now that I have a 921?
I have been reading all the threads about the 921 and have not seen these so if its been answered already, Im sorry.

Some people run the s-cable on the 921 and use the SD/HD button to switch between SD/HD because they say the SD channles look better.

For me, I just watch everything through the DVI cable.

My TV also has only component in, it won't show anything when I go to sd mode. I have my s-video hooked to my Replay.
