What does INHD stand for and

Well. INHD was launched as part of the "In Demand" network of programming. Mostly Cable PPV stuff. With that, add the HD part and I guess we have what INHD stands for.

Walter's link will show what they carry.

I see InHD as the cable's version of HDNet.

It will be nice to have both channels though!

I think it stands for In Highdefinition

but the in part also comes from the channel being run by indemand

baseball is probably the only thing good on it.

they also carry nba and oln hd feeds, but dish has aired that stuff without them

Those are only carried in areas that have agreements with NBA-TV and OLN. If the cable carrier doesn't have the agreements, the programming is either blacked out or alternate InHD programming is shown in it's place. That content in particular is not a part of the InHD lineup, just a conduit for it to be broadcast from.

Last season Dish didn't air any NBA TV HD games. I thought it was because INHD had an exclusive contract to do that.

Comcast didn't show the games, either...until they signed a contract with NBA-TV for the coverage. Then it was opened up on the InHD channel. InHD might have been carrying the games.

A good thing to keep an eye out for when InHD gets here is the logo on the scorecard. When they show baseball games, they use their own card. When it's OLN hockey or NBA basketball, the card has the logo of the main network.
