What exactly is BD+?

First reports RE: BD+ in Fantastic 4: here
PS3 = OK slower load times
Sony BDP1000 = OK excruciatingly long time for it to load, it went on to play with frequent stutters.
Pioneer 94 = 2 min load times on BD+ discs and stuttering
Samsung BD-P1200 = not working
Samsung BDP1400 = OK slower load times

No software players that can handle BD+ (wonder what that actually means...!?).

So much for the statements that all BD players support BD+ from day 1.

If this doesn't change pronto, hacking might not be the biggest threat to studios:
they will abandon this "engeneering marvel" simply because nobody will buy discs with BD+.

False alarm or at least this is what it looks like at the moment...
According to Slysoft, BD+ hasn't arrived yet. Just AACS key revokation.

Strange, how did Fox allow their titles to be published without BD+?

"Fox Home Entertainment acknowledged playback issues with its 'Rise of the Silver Surfer' and 'Day After Tomorrow'
discs on select Blu-ray players late Thursday, but laid the blame squarely on the shoulders of hardware manufacturers."

Fox Speaks Out on 'Silver Surfer,' 'Day After Tomorrow' Blu-ray Playback Problems | High-Def Digest

All this probably means:
- both titles do have BD+;
- FOX decided no more delays can be tolerated;
- there could be a rift between BD companies ("some are more equal than others").

Now, since we learned that "smart informed customers" (i.e. us, posting on forums and studying all the details of both formats)
don't mean squat in the big picture (Best Buy both, sells the most number of discs and is despised the most by somebody like us),
it would be interesting to see the reaction to those problems by those that do buy discs at Best Buy...
