I was reading in another thread where it stated that Charlie announced that he was leasing a transponder to National Programming Service (NPS) so that NPS could sell Distant Networks too Dish Network customers.

Does this mean that we can now (or at some point) subscribe to another set of local stations from another area of the country?

If you legally qualify to do so. You can go to the website for NPS (http://www.mydistantnetworks.com) and determine whether you qualify for all (or some) of the networks. If so, you'll get an eastern feed from Atlanta and a western feed from San Francisco.

Has anyone checked their bill for July from All American Direct & noticed a $2.00 increase for their Distant Networks? Was $10.99 & now $12.99. I guess it is time to move back to cable.
