What is the Advantage of having VOIP and Dish Network at 2 different homes?

i've heard that Vonage will work even over a clean 56k connection.

I bet they will not allow us to do voip phone service as home phone for subscription.

Are you talking about Dish not allowing a VOIP number to be your account phone #??? If thats what you mean, I have it and so does alot of other people. How can they even tell is a VOIP # anyways??
