Will address this to the pros here. Just received a Fortec Star Mercury II FTA receiver. I have already in operation a 10' C-band ( no Ku LNB) dish (BUD) with a coax from the C-band LNB to a 4DTV DSR922. The DSR922 is cabled to a TV in another room. I want the FTA receiver cabled to a TV in another room.
Here is my quest.
Run the C-band LNB coax to a 2 way 5-2300mhz with DC pass splitter, from the splitter a coax direct to the DSR922, and a coax from the other side of the splitter to the FTA receiver. There will be "no" DiSEqC switch.
Operation as of now...
There is a coax coming from the DSR922 going to the TV in the other room where I want the FTA receiver. I have a VCR, and a coax coming from a roof top antenna going through a A/B switch to the TV so I can watch my local network stations. I have only "one" input to the TV, which is the coax from the VCR. How will I be able to hook-up the FTA receiver so I can watch my digital DSR922 satellites, the FTA channels, and the local networks?
