What kind of meter?

This may be the wrong place, but I figure this is where the smart guys are.
Is there a meter out there that will give me the signal from a dipole (regular over the air) antenna, in the same way that a bird dog will give me sat signal strength?
Thanks ahead of time, and if there is, where would I get one?
