Here is what I do not get

Our HD channels are in the 504 thru 550 area of the guide
They are mirrored channels of the regular stations like 4 6 12 etc

Sometimes they do not seem HD
also some of the regular channels advertise in the guide they are HD but are not.

How can I really tell? besides looking.

Can they be anywhere in the number band.

what does 483 783 1081 mean
1081 is the best by far

The channel is HD all the time, The problem is the programming. If your watching say Jerry springer he isnt recorded in HD, then right after springer say Desperate housewives comes on the same channel That is recorded in HD so it will look better then springer. The channel doesnt change the programming does.
