Looking to get a Standard Ku LNBF that will fit in a D Tube 18" dish.

Thanks

Take a better look at that picture. That is a rectangular tube with slightly rounded edges. Unless you want to hammer out the casting on the dish LNBF bracket, this LNBF will NOT work properly. The standard linear Ku-band LNBF uses a neck clamp that is typically 40 mm (about 1.5 inches) outside diameter to match that standard size. Some older Ku-band LNBFs may use the 23 mm (about 1 inch) O.D. size, and there are a few oddballs in between.
If you cannot find an LNBF with 40 mm neck size, you can go smaller and do some "southern engineering" with electrical tape to fill in the gap. (No offense to any hillbillies in the viewing audience).

Pete, you have suggested the proper LNBF to do the job (or other equivalents), but the original poster needs to find another dish with a linear neck clamp adapter, because that is what the industry standard is...

More importantly, he should not waste his time trying to get Ku-band with an 18 inch DBS antenna. It is too marginal with an antenna that small...I would advise nothing smaller than 24 inches be considered for U.S. Ku-band, and that said, 30 or 36 inches would be more advisable if you want continuous uninterrupted reception during all kinds of weather.
