Hi
I just purchased a vip722. I had someone install a second dish 500 to point at 61.5. So now I am pointing to 110 119 and 61.5 which is what I need from where I live.

I replaced my antique dishpro501 pvr with the vip722. There is a splitter in the back of the 722 that attaches the cable coming from the dish to the two inputs on the 722.

When I run the checkswitch I have to do it a couple of times before I can see all 3 sat on both sat inputs but then it keeps loosing one of the sats.

Did I need to replace the lnb because i went from the 501 to the 722?

Any help is greatly appreciated :) Worse case I call disnnetwork and have them send a technician out :( .. not that theres anything worng with that.

IT IN NOT A SPLITTER!!!! its separator, it have to be there. did the tech replaced all ends and barrel to high frequency? because that will cause problems.

what does check switch say it's connected to. If it's not dish pro PLUS then you can't use the separator, you would need two lines to the receiver.

Also be sure the LNBF on the 61.5 dish has the "dp" logo on it.
