Which one to get?

geesh, from the sound of these posts, pioneer must be junk! I'm really happy with my vsx 522k.

I think Pioneer makes a good AVR, the owners seem to be happy. I think their new digital amp lines are nice too, only big complaints from some are MCACC. Thats what keeps me in Marantz, Denon and Onkyo: Audyssey.

I had Jeff Meier come in and do my audio. I actually prefer the result from Audyssey MultiEQ XT over it, so I can only imagine what XT 32 does. I would never say Audyssey is perfect, but if you set your speakers up right, have a good AVR, and set the AVR up properly after Audyssey runs, it does a fine job.

I've got 2 Onkyos. Look at them and the lower Denons and Yams, as noted. Pick the features/price that makes you happy.

I second that. Never had a problem with Denons. I have owned a pair of Onkyos for 5 years now without a bit of problems. I know others have complained about overheating and other issues, but mine has never run above 90 deg F at the case.
