why am I getting inline ads?

Saw them Monday, didn't see any yesterday, seeing them again today.

Example: In the "Help! Is this a fraudulent email?" thread in the Pub, most of the instances of the word "microsoft" are links to

I was able to access the control panel from remote and turn Viglink off until I can log in and test it to see what's going on.

Viglink has been disabled for a few weeks now. And in the ads are turned off in the reader app as well.

In my testing I am seeing no ads, so I am at a loss of what is going on.

I'm having a lot of PMs lately and I noticed I have an updating ad banner at the bottom of each PM I open.

I upgraded our software today and the ad software is ignoring the setting in to not show it for certain user groups again. (It was like that since we upgraded from vbulletin two years ago .... and they finally fixed it a few versions ago and now it's broke again... grrr.
