Why do some movies not let me use my rental certificates.

Some of my rental certificates are expiring. There are some movies I would like to watch but keep getting this message:

Warning

Hmm, it looks like the title you've chosen can't be used with your certificate. If you'd like to use it, please try another title.
Some of these movies have been available for over a month.

I think that is something to do with the studios requirements. I would wait as long as you can to see if the movie becomes available. If not you will have to just watch something so as to not lose them.

I also had that happen. The certificate is worth $6.50 but the movie rental cost was higher (I don’t remember the actual amount).

Yea those porno movies are more then $6.50 LOL

No, the movie was “I still Believe” which is the true story of Christian musician Jeremy Camp. It was around Easter and I think the rental price was $19. I remember wondering why the price was so high until I remembered that Dish was taking advantage of the Christian demand for wholesome movies.

All adult channels are locked out on my two Hopper3 receivers and my favorite channels are Hallmark, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and UP.

Had little to do with DISH. This is one of those movies that Lionsgate released direct to VOD due to corona virus closing the theaters. There were several films released that way for the same reason and the studios wanted them shown at $19.

I was wanting to watch The Invisible Man. I'm sure your right that it's a studio thing. Oh well, I'll use my certificates on other movies. At least I can record them and watch them at my leisure instead of being rushed. I do like that Dish feature.

"Universal Studios is planning to release some of its newest films that are still in the middle of their theatrical runs — including The Invisible Man, The Hunt, and Emma. on digital platforms to rent for $20 starting this Friday. Furthermore, the upcoming Trolls World Tour, which was set to release in theaters on April 10th, will now also be available to rent on demand the same day it hits theaters, via Deadline."

Who is still going to movie theaters?

Good news!!! The movie I still Believe is now available for $5.99. I was able to use one of my certificates to rent it for free. It pays to be patient.

Hi there! With new premium movies coming out, it has caused some confusion with the Movie Rental Certificates. These certificates can be applied to rentals up to $6.99. If you have any questions about this, you can visit: MyDISH
