why is dishnet calling me?

i did the 2 year contract and got 2 leased receivers on sept 18,since then i added 2 of my own receivers. my caller id shows they called me on the 24'th now again on oct 13.i missed both calls.do they call new customers to welcome them or are they doing a audit already?the receivers are all single tuner not hooked to the phone line

Sounds like an audit to me. They'll want you to read some numbers from the receivers' menu screen to them while you're on the phone.

If you have 4 STB's without a phone or ethernet connection, IMHO, often. I've never been audited, so anything that I speak is based on other satelliteguy's experience. If you do a search on "audit", there's a lot of people who have been hit.

today i received a email asking to take a short survey. i made 2 calls to them in the last week and they wanted to know if my issues were resolved.that may be why they called me yesterday

When I recently upgraded my package from 200 to 250...they call me next to for a short survey abt how my experience was with the upgrade & chat with CSR.

Maybe Dish is looking to provide us better customer service & this is part of that.
