Sorry if this has been discussed before buy I am new here,

Why is there no uplink for Shaw Direct, is it because they use a different system than Bell similar to Dish & DirecTV in the US?!

Thanks.

Shaw uses Digicipher II which really cant be monitored with a PC Card. Shaw has a website that shows what channel is where...lemme find the link

eh too lazy right now. Here are the current charts for Shaw. To undewrstand it
2nd column is channel number
column K is the TP

with Shaw TP 1-16 are vertical and 17-32 are horizontal (versus the normal every other TP)

pls forgive my naivete, but what is an uplink?

When Dish or Bell changes something in their channel system (add/move/delete a channel) that is what we call an "uplink"

thelist at the top of the page shows all the changes that Bell & Dish make and where the chanenls are now. Its done real time so when Dish makes a change, it is noted and updated on thelist
