If there is something left, after need, want can come into play. Some will use that discretionary money to go out to eat. Others will subscribe to Sirius/XM. Yet others will do both. It all depends upon how much money there is to spend.
...and depends on importance/priority. I have a friend who semi-starves himself in order to afford Siruis/XM to listen to NASCAR.

Cat food is cheap. I seem to recall reading a quarter of the people buying cat food - don't own a cat.

Reminds me a product that was called Dog-E-Stew, a dog food. I actually liked it better than my mother's beef stew. It just tasted better! :D

Sure, but check the price on the house brand. Chances are pretty good it will be considerably cheaper.
I compared Friskies to Starkist. Neither one is the cheap/house brand. I will look at the cheapest of each when I shop on Saturday and report back. :)

Bottom line is no one's eating cat food when tuna is the same price..
You can only draw a bottom line if you have the evidence to support it. No evidence one way or the other isn't evidence.

One can reason all day long but at the end of the day, it is just reasoning, not fact.

A second job is not out of the question. I have had the same two jobs for over 20 years! Both jobs pay well, insurance covered, money good but time is short. Off on fridays and Saturdays. Nothing wrong with working extra for the lifestyle you want.

After a couple months of no SiriusXM I am once again a subscriber because I finally got tired of streaming and I missed just turning on the radio and flipping through my presets versus sitting here and having to pick songs. Just turn on the XM and forget about it

Was that SiriusXm Withdrawl ?

Same goes with TV streaming, you turn on the radio/Sirius and it just plays ...
You do streaming and you have to Know what you want to listen too.
