I am in the Albany, GA area. I "moved" to Atlanta several years ago. Been without HD locals since the spotbeam went into effect. Would I be able to get the ATL HD locals on 61.5 in SW GA? Thanks!

That's my concern, is there a map showing the area of the spotbeam for ATL locals on 61.5? I've been searching Google for that and haven't had any luck finding one. I'm trying to determine if the ATL locals could be received in southwest GA? Thanks.

I'd better clarify that, the ATL HD locals, I can get the SD locals on 129 but not the HD. Would adding a 61.5 dish to my system get me the HD locals in my area?

I'm showing you atlanta HD locals. If your VIP receiver is getting a signal under Transponder 15 on the 61.5 You have a good chance you could get Atlanta HD locals, As long as your location is under Spotbeam 6

I should clarify this also, I don't currently have a 61.5 dish, I'm trying to decide if it would be worth getting, so I don't have any way of checking TP 15 right now.

Most spotbeams are about 100 miles out from the area. In my area of southeast Texas , I am 90 miles from Houston ,Tx where I get my locals from. I "moved" to get them years ago. I get about 45 signal on the spotbeam from 61.5 sat and from the 110 sat I get 50 strength. I have a side sat for 110 plugged into my eastern arc dish. So I don't lose them unless it is raining cats & dogs outside . So if you are in the 100 mile vicinity of Atlanta , you should be okay for the spot beam. But you won't know unless you actually get the dish for the hd locals.
