I asked a similar question earlier but I asked about the 622... I have come to the conclusion I should be asking about the 625....

I was wondering if the 625 will work being hooked up to only one coaxial cable from the satellite Dish.....I only need it to run one TV and I don't care about the dual tuner function. My other coaxial line from the dish is dedicated to another receiver that I do not want to replace.....

All other responses are great.

Simply put: if you want to use the 625 at all in the situation you have proposed, you are going to have to invest in additional equipment to make it work.

What about deactivating the other box and use the 625 exclusively and in dual mode to feed your other TV? Based upon your situation, it would require some work, but it isn't that expensive to do.

Or, how about trading in the 625 for a single tuner DVR, the 50x/510 series? That would require no real work at all.

Thats true if you can still get a 510 out of dish. Other wise get one from the classifieds here or off of ebay.
