 Can I disconnect my FiOS Hi-Def DVR and bring it to my brother's house to play-back a movie recorded on its drive, or does the DVR need the RF/IPTV FiOS coax plugged-in to work?

I do not believe the box will boot without service. Try unplugging the cable and restarting it to see before you cart it across the country.

Psst! Whats this?
