Will my VIP 622 play HDD recording without a sat signal?

I am headed to Fl for a few weeks and want to take my receiver with me so I can watch the movies I have recorded on the HDD.

I won't have the dish so no sat signal to the receiver. Will I be able to watch my recorded movies?

Don't know the answer for sure but if it was my I would remove the SAT cable and try it for myself to see for sure if it works or not for me.
