I'm at zip 28315 in Pinehurst, NC. Using old Voom dish at 61.5 now and 500 for 110 & 119. I understand that Raleigh HD locals will be on 118.75. Will the new 1000+
work here to get 110, 119, 118.75 and 129 with only one dish? I'm down fairly low and my dish 500 is just clearing the tree tops. Should I stick with the 61.5 dish along with 500+ or try the new 1000+ ?????

The fact that DISH has the Raleigh HD locals uplinked to the 118.75 satellite says that DISH thinks that it will work in your area. They are likely testing that with a few beta testers now. For now I would stick with the 61.5 dish until DISH tells you if 118.75 is where your HD locals are going to remain.

And yes, the dish1000+ is designed to receive signals from 110, 119, 118.75 and 129. As to whether it will work WELL in your area is unknown. According to early reports, it is a real bear to install.

If I were you, I'd stick with 61.5 even AFTER they hook you up with 118.75. They should be able to do this.

Agreed, but that will cost you a switch and another dish if you do not currently have one pointed at 61.5 - and how much of that E* will pick up remains to be seen.

You would also most likely run into problems with any older units that cannot see 5 satellite positions unless you stayed with the 500+ instead of the Dish 1000+.
