It appears that the ICC World CUp subscribers on Dish Network are getting complimentary access to the Online World Cup webcasts at willow.tv. Howcome, DirecTv did not get the same? Or is there something that I missed.

Dish owns the ICC WC rights, Directv is selling under license.

Dish wants you to use their service rather than Direct.

So Dish has the free internet, audio broadcasts highlights and repeats. I believe Direct just has the games.

Unfortunately Dish also has awful PAL to NTSC transfer - so every game looks like it is being played in smog...

Well .. that explains it. Just wish I had access to the online webcasts so that I could sneak a peak during lunch at work and what not.
