Wilt - are we going to need a new dish to get the new channels in 3/05?

Dear Wilt:
I called VOOM today to ask when I was supposed to get the larger or second dish to receive the new channels from Americom-6 as I understood from the 11/5 SEC filing that VOOM customers needed another dish to receive channels from this satellite and the VOOM press release of 11/22 said that the additional HD channels would come from this satellite. The CSR said that current VOOM customers will not need a different dish to receive the additional HD channels that will be availble in March. Is this true? do we need a different dish or not and if so, when are they going to start installing them?

Well, likely not correct.

If services are put on the other bird, and they're meant to be part of the
service, either this level or a newer one, then, by definition, unless one
already has a multisat dish-pointed properly-- it will be necessary to get
another dish-multisat or single-to "see it.

I think some of the stuff here may be because some/all of the lineups
aren't done yet so it's difficult to say what will trigger the need or if
you'll need one to just keep your existing level of service, etc.

Best advice I can give right now is just hang in there, you'll all hear
about it soon enough when it's ready.
