I have this dish on my motorhome, a few years back i stopped getting HD.
A remote repair guy at a football game got it working and said my arm was bent. Got home replaced the arm and now it goes right by 99 and 103 without locking and locks 101,110, and 119. 101 is the only one it actually needs now. I can manually stop it when it goes by 99.
Can I convert this unit to swm technology?
Is there some re programming needed? Used to work perfectly.

Thanks,
RBH

:welcome to Satelliteguys RIDGELY B HOYLE!

Can you tell us what equipment you have, like type of dish and lnb, type of receiver/dvr? Does the Wingard have a swm lnb? (one cable to the receiver/dvr) Did you check the signal strength numbers?

If the arm is bent it will be virtually impossible to get a good signal on all of the sats.

He said that he replaced the arm when he got home.
Correct. I should have said "if the arm is askew" since you can't really get the arm put back on straight. I'm sure at the factory it's done with a jig or robotic arm that is very precise.
