2011 was a GREAT year for WION Radio! We helped raise money on the air for Cancer research with "Relay for Life", We gave back to Big Brothers/Big sisters
during our "Chili Dawg Challenge" and, of course, we were at Bertha Brock Park for the park's 80th birthday, and raised $2k for park improvements!

The nicest part? It didn't go UNnoticed by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters! They publish a year-end report on public service with their "Annual Report" and there we were......presenting our check to Bertha Brock Park's manager, Loren Gage! There's many stations in the state which are members, and its an honor to be included in this publication for the SECOND year in a row!

Thank you MAB for including us in your publication! Much appreciated!

That is GREAT you and your station are a true ASSIT to your community! Sometimes doing this things may not make you feel like the effort (and some times expense) was worth it, but as your slowly learning it can also start paying off nice dividends as more and more people learn about you and WION and want to be part of it! :D

Congrats Jim!

Yes as an Event Coordinator it is way to easy to get caught up in all the work and problems and forget about the bigger picture. But WION is keeping Ionia on the map! Jim likes to say that I run everything in town, but I couldn't do it without his support and the awesome community pr his station provides on Wednesday mornings!
