Wireless joey stuck in download software mode

I had my wirelss joey replaced and the new one is showing download software mode for hours on end?
Connections are working but I can't get it out of this mode. Hopper 3.

Move it near the hopper and connect it to the hopper via Ethernet. You don't have to press any buttons or anything After if downloads and programs memory, move it back to where it'll stay. Also, make sure the back of your WAP is set to Access Point and not Client

Direct it is. 2 minute download. Their wifi really stinks.

There's a software issue with the WAP's and Hopper 3's. It's actually not that new but seems to be becoming more prevalent
