Would this work for a "Whole Huose DVR" solution?

I have a network hard drive connected to the same home computer network that my 722k is connected to. Can I use it like an external drive and then view the recordings on my other networked 222k receivers?

No. EHDs must be connected directly to the receiver. It is not a net-workable device.
