Driving down Route 9 tonight I completely lost WPLR around Middletown. I can usually keep it strong from Manchester to the coast. Tonight it just got obliterated. I tried to make out the other station but the call was not clear. From what I gather it sounded like Plymouth Mass. The signal held fairly strong all the way down following the river right to the coast. I don't know if this is a band opening or a overpowered transmitter.

Not sure who (or where), but it's pretty rough here in New Britain right now.

Edit: Clear in the car, but dead on the SDR. I'm hearing bits of a gospel or light station AND 97.9 ESPN radio over 99.1. On the other hand, 99.5 seems to have popped up out of nowhere and is clear.
