Is there a way to make the older x box games compatable with the 360?

When you go to play a Xbox game, it will prompt you to download some backward compat. files, so it is required you have a hard drive.

I'd also recommend this site. It will tell you the EXTENT of the BC. For example, I got Tony Hawk 3 for the Xbox and it would boot up and nothing would come on the screen, and I thought the game I had was broken or something. After finding this site, I discovered that I needed to change my 360's resolution to 480p for the game to work:
