Currently have a XM Boom Box. Would like the capability to move receiver to either one of our vehicles. What is the best car kit?

When you say you have the boombox you mean the SKyfi plus the boom box or you mean the Audiophase Skybox or one of the other portable units?

If you already have a skyfi you can just get the skyfi car kit and move it between the boom box and the car.

Each radio pretty much has one car kit for it.

How about using the FM modulator? Will this replace the Cassette adapter?

If you have a skyfi plus the boom box the simplest way you be to buy the car kit for the skyfi and install it. You can use the FM modulator instead of the Cassette adapter if you like. There are also otherways of connecting it to your radio depending on the model you could get a PIE connector that will give you the best sound. It plugs into he head unit usually where the cd changer would plug in.
