I'm interested in seeing what other Mediacom markets have for a Family cable lineup as I think the digital line-up doesn't vary that much. The Mediacom lineup for Des Moines is as follows:

- Discovery
- QVC
- Mediacom Mainstreet
- ABC
- Fox
- City Government (Ankeny has it's own channel, rest of the metro get's Des Moines city government coverage)
- CBS
- WB
- Pax
- PBS
- DSM Public Schools
- WHO
- blank
- Public Access
- The College Channel/NASA
- CNN
- PBS Kids
- CSPAN
- Mediacom Promotions
- WGN
- Mediacom Connections (local sports & ESPN News)
- TBS
- Nickelodeon
- USA
- Weather
- FX
- Spike
- TNT
- Headline News
- Cartoon
- ABC Family
- MTV
- ESPN Classic
- ESPN
- ESPN 2
- CNBC
- blank
- Disney
- FSN Midwest
- Univision
- AMC
- Court TV
- Fox News
- History
- blank
- Lifetime
- VH1
- Comdey Central
- TLC
- TV Land
- Hallmark
- Animal Planet
- BET
- OLN (minus the NHL)
- blank
- Food Network
- A & E
- blank
- Telefut (spanish)
- Shop NBC
- TV Guide
- MSNBC
- WE
- EWTN
- TBN
- HGTV
- HSN
- Travel Channel
- SoapNet
- Sci-fi
- Bravo
- CSPAN2
- Speed
- Telemundo
- CMT
- E!
- RFDTV

What sticks out to me are the amount of "dark" channels, why CSPAN2 is so far down on the system and why RFDTV is on there, and why there's no NHL on OLN. OLN is asking, make that demanding carriage on the basic tier for NHL coverage, Mediacom has done that, so why no NHL?
