In the early stages of looking for some kind of handheld computing device. I'd love to have wifi, music playback, and an android or linux based system. I'm waiting with everyone else for Apples big announcement this week... but in the meantime I've been a bit distracted trying to find what else is out there. The Archos 5 Internet Slate sounds impressive, I like the 800x480 resolution on the monitor and the microSD port. But then I also saw the elusive Zii Egg developer kit. I know it's essentially $399 for a beta devise, but a hand held PMP with access to both Linux and Android sounds pretty sweet. Have any of y'all had any experience with one of these devices or could recommend something similar.
In all honesty, I don't really need one (nor have plans to get one right away)... but these devices are just so Star Trek I really want to spoil myself with one...
