    I want to keep my 4.05. I am happy with it. I set my 622 to 'do not update'. We'll see if DISH would force it.

    L4.03 on 622

    I got 4.03 this morning. The HD channel change is slower then 3.66. The skip forward and back is slower. It was less then a second under 3.66. It's like one-two seconds now. I cannot compare FF the REW because I do not use them enough.

    My wife can tell HDNET and HDMOVIE is not as good as it used to. And she says the HD demo is the best looking one.

    ViP 622 & 722 Running Bug Thread

    I am on my second 622. The first one has bad HDTV tunners. All three of them. The replacement worked for a week. Now the TV2 Tuner is out (no signal). I am waiting for my third unit. I don't have a chance to look for software bug yet.

    I finally had a new unit today. HD is OK now. Then I found out I cannot scan for local channels. I can add them in one by one. I scanned and got no channel in the table. Please help?

    My OTA Signal is between 65 to 95. The problem is the same in every channel. Reboot seems to solved the problem for a few minutes. The picture will then show flash and black out. Guide and sound were always OK.

    VIP 622 HD tuner issue I just got my 622. The SD PQ is OK but I cannot tune to HD stations (OTA or Sat) reliably. I am getting a line on the bottom of the screen and the picture comes and goes. The sound is fine. Any idea?

    I have a superdish 121 and 811. Does it make sense to upgrade to 622? I live in a condo, adding another dish is not easy.

    Cable Internet and Dish, Is it Possible?

    I have cable modem and Dish on the same line. I combined (with a duplexer) at the the cable box and then use a two-way splitter for Internet and SAT receiver. Just make sure you use the type of splitter that has different frequency cut offs. Match the frequency then it should be OK.

    I cannot see 438 either. Talked to CSR, She asked me to reset the box twice. No 438. I have a 501 and 811. CSR finally gave up and asked me to call my installer.

    I also have a 811. I can only see 110/119/121 (Condo restrictions). I have the original HD PACK. I use OTA for my HD locals (NYC area). Is upgrade to 411/211 worth the money?

    Winter Olympics Coverage

    NBC is betting on HDTV owners who cannot get OTA will watch SD (no rating loss). I hope there's enough of us HDTV owners who would turn off their TV and hurt their rating.

    UHD Programming Info? Not much Olympics so far

    It's more like a 'free preview' of UHD. Nothing to do with Olympics. That's a NBC's decision since this is their channel.
